John Entsminger
Senior Deputy General Manager
John Entsminger is the senior deputy general manager for the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) and the Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD).
Entsminger reports directly to the general manager and oversees all aspects of both agencies’ operations. He has been with the SNWA and LVVWD since 1999.
While serving as deputy general counsel for the SNWA, Entsminger was instrumental in the negotiations and eventual execution of the 2007 Colorado River Interim Guidelines, and he continues to serve as SNWA’s lead negotiator on Colorado River matters. He has played a significant role in multiple interstate and intrastate processes that help protect the future of Nevada’s water resources.
Entsminger is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and legal studies. He also attended the University of Colorado Law School and was the recipient of the Charles N. Woodruff Fellowship for demonstrating academic excellence in natural resources law. Entsminger and his wife, Erica, have two children.
