WaterSmart Innovations Conference and Exposition issues Call for Abstracts

Water Smart Innovations Conference and Exposition

WaterSmart Innovations is presented by
SNWA in partnership with the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency.

Professionals and other experts working in the field of water efficiency are invited to submit abstracts for the seventh annual WaterSmart Innovations Conference and Exposition, slated for Oct. 8-10, 2014, in Las Vegas.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is Friday, Jan. 17, 2014. Professionals, scientists, government employees, organizations, public and private institutions, policy makers, students and all others working in an industry related to water efficiency are invited to submit an abstract for an oral presentation, panel discussion or workshop.

Abstracts may be submitted via an on-line form at A complete list of topics and submittal guidelines is available at the website. Candidates chosen as presenters will be notified by email and postal mail no later than Friday, March 14, 2014.

All topics related to innovations in urban water efficiency will be considered from a wide range of disciplines. Topics may include:

  • Water/Energy Production Nexus
  • Drought Management
  • Alternate Sources
  • Rainwater/Greywater/Stormwater Harvesting
  • Sustainable Construction and Development
  • High Efficiency Fixtures and Appliances
  • Policy Development/Public Outreach
  • Landscapes and Outdoor Water Use
  • Marketing
  • Education (adult, child)
  • Conservation and Incentives
  • Water Loss Management

The Southern Nevada Water Authority is presenting WSI 2014 in partnership with the Alliance for Water Efficiency, American Water Works Association, Audubon International, California Landscape Contractors Association, California Urban Water Conservation Council, the U.S. EPA’s WaterSense Program, Green Plumbers USA, Imagine H2O, International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, International Center for Water Technology, International Code Council, and Irrigation Association.
