Water Waste Fees and Citations

Water waste citations and/or fees may be
assessed for repeat violations.

The Southern Nevada Water Authority forwards water waste complaints to the water provider serving the property.

A representative from the customer's water provider notifies the property owner to correct the problem. The water provider may issue a citation or assess a fee if the property owner doesn't correct the problem and the violation occurs a second time.

To report a water waster, fill out the water waste report form or call the Conservation Helpline at 258-SAVE.

Curbing Water Waste

The Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) offers a rebate on first-time fees for LVVWD customers who attend a free water conservation class or complete and return a "Curbing Water Waste" written test. To register for a class or request a copy of the written test, please call (702) 822-8571.
