Shari Buck

A native North Las Vegan, Shari Buck was elected to the North Las Vegas City Council in July 1999 and served in that position until she was elected Mayor of North Las Vegas in 2009. Previously, she served on the North Las Vegas Library District Board of Trustees and the Colorado River Commission.

Buck has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Brigham Young University. Upon being elected to the North Las Vegas City Council, she chose to give up her career as a substitute teacher to devote all her time to serving the citizens of North Las Vegas.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Keith, and their four children, Jenna, Jordan, Jesse and Kacy. Her hobbies include scuba diving and writing.
