Steven Kirk was elected at large to the Henderson City Council in May 1999 and re-elected for his third term in 2007, representing Ward IV. Councilman Kirk serves with the mayor and fellow councilmembers as the legislative branch of the city of Henderson.

Raised in Henderson, Kirk graduated from Basic High School before receiving a degree in 1984 from Brigham Young University in Design Engineering Technology. Kirk is the Director of Acquisitions for RMI Investment Services.

Kirk currently serves on the Southern Nevada Health District Board of Directors and the Local Oversight Panel of the Clark County School District Board of Trustees. He also serves on the S.A.F.E. House Board of Directors, the Henderson Chamber Board of Directors, the Clean Water Coalition and the City of Henderson Redevelopment Agency.
