
Clark County Commissioner Rory Reid was raised in Las Vegas. He attended Brigham Young University (BYU) earning a B.A. in International Relations and Spanish.
He went on to attend the BYU J. Reuben Clark Law School, earning a juris doctorate in 1988. Reid returned to Nevada soon after and began practicing law. At the age of 30, he became the senior vice president and general counsel of a local company. After his tenure as corporate counsel, he went on to become a partner at Lionel Sawyer & Collins, a Nevada law firm. Recently, Las Vegas Life Magazine named Reid “Best Upcoming Politician in Southern Nevada.”
Reid and his wife, Cindy, are the proud parents of three children.
