Indoor Retrofit Program

Single-residential and multifamily homes built before 1989 were not required to have low-flow fixtures. The Southern Nevada Water Authority wants to help owners of these "older" properties replace their bathroom and kitchen fixtures with water-saving fixtures.

Homeowner Indoor Retrofit Program

Eligible homeowners receive a simple survey in the mail. Complete the survey and send it back to the SNWA Conservation Division. Within four weeks, eligible households receive a free indoor retrofit kit in the mail. Request an indoor retrofit kit.

The kits include:

  • Easy-to-follow installation instructions
  • Water-saving showerhead(s)
  • Thread-sealing Teflon tape
  • Bathroom fixture aerator(s)
  • Kitchen faucet aerator(s)
  • Toilet diverter(s)
  • Leak detection tablets for the toilet
  • A toilet flapper

Multifamily Indoor Retrofit Program

Multifamily property owners can sign up for SNWA's Multifamily Indoor Retrofit Program. As part of the program:

  • SNWA representatives perform an indoor site review on three apartments at your request
  • Showerheads and faucets are tested to determine their flow rate
  • Toilets are inspected for high-flow rates
  • If flow-rates are too high, SNWA will deliver free low-flow fixtures to your property

If you think you're eligible for this program or for more information, call the Conservation Helpline at 258-SAVE (7283) or request a multifamily indoor retrofit kit.
