Business-to-Business Challenge

The Business-to-Business Challenge is an outreach campaign that draws attention to water-conservation efforts by Water Conservation Coalition (WCC) business partners, the Southern Nevada business community and Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) commercial incentive programs.

To date, hundreds of businesses have committed to water efficiency and participated in these partnerships and incentive programs, resulting in tremendous water savings.

From January 2004 through December 2007, commercial projects accounted for only 10 percent of projects in the SNWA's Water Smart Landscapes (WSL) rebate program (including residential projects). However, the projects added up to 60 percent of the total square footage of grass removed through the program. In other words, commercial projects are big and they make an even bigger difference. And the WSL program is just one example of how businesses are making a difference.

The WCC invites businesses that are making a difference and saving water through conversions, upgraded technology or program partnerships to challenge other businesses within their industries to do the same. If your industry has been challenged, get involved. The WCC wants our community and the world to know what businesses are doing to become more water-efficient.

For more details on joining the challenge, call WCC Executive Director Jena Antonchuk at (702) 240-2537.
