Water Rates and Surcharges

Drought surcharges are temporary pricing measures intended to encourage reduction in water consumption during drought conditions. Drought surcharges will apply to all customer classes in conjunction with each water purveyor's existing rate structure; however purveyors also may structure surcharges based upon type of use.

Staff from SNWA member agencies will work together to ensure that rates accomplish the goal of balancing resources with customer demands. Drought surcharges may be modified as needed based upon the community's performance in meeting water demand reduction goals.
