Water Waste

Allowing water to run off into a street, alley, right-of-way, gutter or drain, or failure to repair a controllable leak is prohibited. Water waste is governed by city and county ordinances and water purveyor policy.

Mandatory violations/penalties will be issued after the first water-waste warning. Fees double with each violation.

All jurisdictions adopted regulations strengthening water waste penalties. Check with your water provider for water waste fees or fines.

Curbing Water Waste

The Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) offers a Curbing Water Waste class throughout the year to help customers identify and correct various water-waste issues on their property. The class is free to all SNWA customers.
