SNWA Landscape Awards Homeowner Categories

Your entry may be for front yard, back yard or both front and back yards. The entries may be for a new landscape or an upgrade of a previous landscape.

1. Landscape Design by a Homeowner

Enter this category if you designed your landscape without any paid professional assistance and you are not employed in the landscape industry. To qualify, you must have selected the plants and other materials and specified their placement. You may enter this category even if your landscape design was professionally installed.

2. Landscape Design by a Professional

Enter this category if your landscape was designed with any paid professional assistance or if you are employed in the landscape industry. This includes collaborative efforts where you and a landscape professional both contributed to the design of the project. This category applies to landscapes designed with professional assistance, even if they were installed by the homeowner.

Other Award Categories

All homeowner entries also will be eligible for the Star Nursery Color Award. A separate entry is not needed for this award.

A landscape designed by a professional landscape architect or contractor for a single-family residential, multifamily/HOA, commercial, insitutional or municipal property must be entered by the professional.
