Warm-Season Grasses

Warm-season grass varieties germinate when day-time temperatures range from 80 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. These varieties do best when planted in late spring, but they may be planted any time of year. Warm-season grasses include:

  • Bermuda
  • Buffalograss
  • St. Augustine
  • Zoysia
