SNWA works to secure long-term water
resources for Southern Nevada.

Water resource planning depends upon conditions – such as drought – that are unpredictable. The farther into the future you plan, the greater the uncertainty of the forecast.

The Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) reviews its Water Resource Plan annually and makes adjustments as needed to accommodate changing conditions.

Portfolio Approach

SNWA has taken a “portfolio approach” to water resource development, emphasizing acquisition and development of diverse resources—both surface water and groundwater.
