Low, dense, mounding to spreading habit. Small, silver-gray to silver-white, finely-divided leaves. Aromatic. Bright yellow, button-like flowers held above the foliage on stems. Attract bees. Remove spent flowers. May become more woody and open with age. Head back occasionally to help maintain dense habit. Accepts shearing. Works well as a groundcover or a low hedge. Synonym: Santolina incana.
